Former Assistant U.S. Attorney David Leibowitz

Toms River, New Jersey

David Leibowitz has an impressive professional and educational background and is also an active member of our community.

David was educated at University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences in Philadelphia where he earned a BA in American History and Political Science. David went on to earn his PhD in Philosophy at the London School of Economics where he also was a teaching assistant. Then David returned to the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received his Juris Doctorate in May 2000. While attending law school David was the Editor and Chief of the University Of Pennsylvania Journal Of Constitutional Law.

After Law school David dedicated himself to public service. David was a Clerk for Justice Robert G. Flanders, Jr. Supreme Court Justice of Rhode Island. David then went on to serve in the Middlesex District Attorney’s office in Cambridge, MA where he was the Assistant District Attorney. David was then appointed Assistant United States District Attorney in NY Southern District in New York, NY. His current assignment is with the Terrorism and National Security unit.
David is a Co-Owner of an automobile dealership with approximately 180 employees.

David currently serves as a commission member at the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education in Trenton NJ.

David and his wife Stacy have three children.
